About the PRISMA Flow Diagram Generator
The PRISMA Flow Diagram Generator is a free, open-access tool created to help researchers produce professional, PRISMA 2020 compliant flow diagrams for their systematic reviews without requiring technical skills, expensive software, or manual diagram drawing.
Our Mission
Systematic reviews are the gold standard of evidence synthesis, yet creating PRISMA flow diagrams remains an unnecessarily cumbersome step for many researchers. Our mission is to remove this friction by providing a free, intuitive tool that any researcher, from PhD students to senior academics, can use to generate publication-ready PRISMA 2020 flow diagrams in minutes.
Why We Built This Tool
Drawing PRISMA flow diagrams by hand in office software is slow, error-prone, and hard to keep consistent with the official templates. We built this generator so that any researcher can fill in their study selection numbers and export a clean, compliant diagram, with the structure and labels handled automatically and every phase laid out exactly as the PRISMA 2020 statement specifies.
PRISMA 2020 Compliance
All flow diagram templates in this tool follow the official PRISMA 2020 statement published by Page et al. (2021). We support all four template types for both new and updated systematic reviews. Learn more about the four PRISMA 2020 flow diagram templates.
